佐賀県武雄市に生まれる。大伯父が中国・日本の陶磁器を扱う古美術商であったため、唐津や有田の窯跡から掘り出された陶器片や、梅の花状の目跡、融けて塊になった器を見て、幼児期を過ごす。広島市で成長し20歳代半ば札幌市で就職、現在に至る。40代から陶芸教室に入り、多田昌代先生、中島勇先生の指導を受ける。
2006年以降北海道陶芸協会会員。同協会陶芸展に毎年出品。新人賞、北海道陶芸展大賞他受賞。（北海道陶芸協会 http://www.hokkaidotougei.com/ ）

Keiko Fukuyama was born in Takeo, Saga prefecture in Kyushu. As her grand uncle was an antique dealer specializing in Chinese and Japanese ceramics and pottery, she
found around his house many porcelain and pottery fragments and made them
part of my toys. These she later learned were from the archaeological cites of kilns
in Karatsu and Arita, in northern Kyushu. She was fascinated by those melted and
deformed fragments from an early age.
When she was three, her family moved to Hiroshima where she grew up. She graduated
from the local schools and university. She now lives and works in Sapporo with her
family.
She took up pottery as an amateur in her 40’s. She became a member of the Hokkaido Pottery Association (Hokkaido Togei Kyoukai (HTK)) in 2006. She has been entering the HTK Pottery Competition every year since 2006, and was honored several awards including a grand champion prize.

仕事、子育てが一段落し、PTA活動の一つとして陶芸に出会う（山本恒陶先生）。
１９９８年 北陶陶芸教室に入り、多田昌代先生の指導を受ける
２００５年 北海道陶芸協会に入る、その年より北海道陶芸協会展に出品開始
２０１８年 北光陶芸教室にて中島勇先生の指導下、仲間とともに作陶継続中
